Drum Scanning
The Digital Frontier can handle all of your high-end color separation needs. We have years of experience producing accurate color. Our Howtek 7500 drum scanner can transparencies, color negatives, and flex reflective artwork up to 18” x 24”.
File Intervention/Preflighting
Our experienced team of Mac and PC experts offer expert retouching, color correction, image manipulation, and pagination services. We support all current page layout and image creation programs and formats to help you prepare files for printing with indended vision.
GMG Digital Dot Proof
Nobody understands color and the importance of a proof better than The Digital Frontier. We feature an Epson 2400 Digital Proofing system coupled with industry leading GMG Software. We don’t just make pretty looking proofs, they are meticulously calibrated via a XRite calibration system to insure our proofs are SWOP/GRACol standards, but are calibrated to match Kodak Matchprint as well as a calibration to match our offset print solutions. When you get a proof from us, rest assured that that dot proof not only matches what you will see on our press, but can be confidently sent to any publication around the world.
Data Management
At the Digital Frontier, we archive every electronic file and image, so we’ll always have a backup when you need it most.
Publication Submission Repurposing
When you are ready to submit an ad for publication, let us repurpose your raw files from Indesign, Quark, etc into the needed file format your publication requires. Allow us to professionally preflight your files and have the pieces of mind kowing your ad is going to print exactly how you designed it. We can submit the files and provide a digital SWOP certified proof - ready to print and, most importantly - correct for print.

EPSON GS6000
The Epson's ability to print up to 64" wide by any length at the fastest rated speed of any roll-to-roll inkjet printer, at the highest print resolution (1440 x 1440 dpi), and widest color gamut (8 color -CMYK+Lc+Lm+Orange+Green) in the industry. It's brand new solvent technology eliminated the hazardous VOC's and known carcinogen's such as Nickel (Ni) of traditional solvent printers while retaining the long term ink benefits of solvent printers.
Vutek PressVu 200
The Vutek’s ability to print super-wide - up to 80” wide by any length coupled with the cost effective and environmentally friendly UV ink set make this the perfect solution for larger size and larger quantity print runs. The Vutek is a roll-to-roll and flat bed printer so it can not only run vinyls, fabrics, papers, and other roll feed materials but can print directly to any flat surface up to 1.75 inches thick!
The 600 DPI, six-color UV inks print with a wider color gamut than CMYK printers and the UV inks allow for up to 2 year outdoor applications without adding a laminate.
This device can print directly to Sintra, Coroplast, Gatorboard, plastics, Lexan, wood, marble, glass, metal, aluminum, as well as a a million substrates we haven’t even thought of yet!

At The Digital Frontier, we can coat cover weight stock up to 30” wide by almost any length. Our state-of-the-art Dorn Roller Coater ensures top-quality coating that makes an impact and provides mailing protection. This is the best solution out there, and of course, we have it.
Bindery capabilites
We keep nearly all our bindery in house to maintain schedule control and to ensure the highest quality on every job. We can score, fold, perf, saddlestitch, spiral bind, wire-o bind, and shrink wrap, in addition to a number of specialty bindery options.
Mounting and lamination
We can mount and laminate everything we produce to nearly any substrate, whether it be 3, 5 or 10 ml laminate, Fome Core, Gatorboard, Komatex, or any other specialty board or paper.
